meeting 2018

We are in the process of transforming the BRAINSTEM SOCIETY into a BRAINSTEM SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology. Our new name “Brainstem SIG” allows us to continue using our former abbreviation “BSS” in our logo. The BRAINSTEM SOCIETY has been a multidisciplinary organization, and the BRAINSTEM SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP will remain the same: it is not necessary to be affiliated to any National Society of Clinical Neurophysiology for members of the new BRAINSTEM SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP. The past Scientific Board of the BRAINSTEM SOCIETY will continue to serve as an interim executive and scientific board of the new Brainstem SIG until a formal General Assembly can be arranged at the International Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology 2022 in Melbourne, Australia. The board will take actions necessary to formally establish the new Brainstem SIG under the IFCN.

CURRENT BOARD of THE BRAINSTEM SIG

Chair:
Satu Jääskeläinen, Turku, Finland
Secretary:
Markus Kofler, Zirl, Austria
Scientific Board Members:
Mark Hallett, Bethesda, U.S.A.
Josep Valls-Solé, Barcelona, Spain
Lo J. Bour, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Jens Ellrich, Erlangen, Germany

The 8th BrainStem Society Meeting will be held as the 1st Brainstem Special Interest Group Meeting of the International Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology (ICCN), which will take place in Melbourne, Australia, in 2022.
